Finding a reliable window contractor is important for your home. With the right person, you’ll have access to the best window products available. At Renewal by Andersen® of Eastern NY, we’re proud to provide our customers with ENERGY STAR®-approved window glass and frames. Read on to learn about the benefits of these products.
What Is ENERGY STAR?
ENERGY STAR is a trusted, government-backed company that assesses the energy efficiency of household products. With their approval, products such as doors and windows can earn an ENERGY STAR rating, which shows how well the product reduces greenhouse gas emissions and cuts down on heat transfer.
However, just because a company earns the rating for their doors and windows doesn’t mean all their products are verified forever. ENERGY STAR inspects and re-inspects each product annually, at the least. This means every single window and door has to continuously pass their test. Otherwise, they lose the rating.
What It Means for Us
We understand how important it is to reduce gas emissions. Many of our customers are worried about rising electric bills. Reducing energy consumption isn’t always as easy as turning off some switches during the day. Some windows are poorly sealed or have bad conductivity. If your windows are in bad shape, you could be losing precious energy even with your best efforts.
That’s why, as your local window company, we’re always ready to help you choose the right window style for your home. We offer Fibrex® frames, made of recycled wood fiber and composite materials. This material has been proven to reduce heat gain substantially. Paired with our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass, the result is a product that’s over 50% more effective than regular windows at improving your home’s energy efficiency.
